Contest: The contest will consist of both judges and audience voting. The audience vote will be done following that night's competition prior to the individuals exiting the establishment.
There will be a total of four bars where open auditions will be held and those same locations will be the sites for the weekly competition prior to the finals. The finals will occur over a three-week period at Claude & Annie’s Fishers location. The competition will start on May 26th, 2008. We will make each week a different musical theme so nobody can sandbag each week with the same genre of music. We have also created a rule that any song may be sung during the open audition weeks. After that the same song can NOT be sung twice. Once a song is sung that song is considered “dead” at that location. The weekly competition will break down as follows:
Week 1-4: These weeks will consist of open auditions at each of the four locations. Each week, six constestants will be chosen to move onto the competition. This will give us a total of 24 competitors at each location.
Week 5-10: Each week will consist of the actual contest where three competitors are voted out each week. That will leave us with a total of six contestants at the end of week 10. The final six individuals will move onto the semi-final round.
Week 11-12: This will bring us full circle into the semi final round where we now have 24 contestants total, competing from all four locations. During week 11, we will eliminate twelve competitors from the competition. During week 12, we will eliminate eight additional competitors. We will trim the finalists down to the final four on week 13.
Week 13: This would be the grand finale where we would be down to our final four competitors. At the end of the night only one is crowned our Claude & Annie's Idol winner.
The winner of week 13 will receive the $1000 grand prize. The 1st and 2nd runner-ups will receive consolation prizes as well.
